What drives you to start and build global businesses? In my case between 2003 to 2021 I founded and exited five start-up companies. I would like to share why I did this alongwith what I learnt from these experiences. The aim is to encourage others to think through do they want to do the same and if they do what they can learn from my experience?

Looking back, I realize that my 24-year business career before 2003 was just the groundwork for what was to come. This journey had a central theme: promoting the health benefits of natural bioactives in food, from farm to international markets. For anyone thinking about launching a business globally, I highly recommend gaining experience in the same or a related industry first.
Have you ever wondered what drives someone to take on the challenge of starting and building a global business? For me, it was a deep-seated belief in my ability to create an innovative company that could compete on the global stage. My career had shown me that I had a knack for taking calculated risks, disrupting industries, and a strong desire for independence. I also loved setting and implementing the strategic direction of a business.
Timing is everything when launching a new venture. In my case, the global demand for natural solutions to improve health and well-being was skyrocketing. This perfect timing was a key factor in my decision to start my businesses.
Bringing all these elements together is just the beginning. The following blogs will guide you through the essential areas you need to consider when starting your own business.
